Gameplay design on "competition & collaboration"

"Gritty Gravity" is a group project (in collaboration with Mario Dcunha) inspired by this incident when one borrowed the other’s wireless mouse and accidentally taking over the mouse control. During the prototype we realized it’s the same mechanics as tug of war but in the form mouse, creating a familiar yet unfamiliar play experience. It then ended up as a two-player game where the players need to drag a ball which they both have control over to their respective side. We further throw in the cooperation & competition balance to punch it up even more.
